GUILDIFI CON GUESTS!

K-P

Joshua Kern

My name is Joshua Kern and I have always loved reading and the escape books provided from everyday life. Writing stories was something that I always wanted to do, I just wasn't sure when. Now I have finally decided to take the plunge, and I couldn’t be happier for it.

I am currently writing several series that span a few different genres from LitRPG/GameLit, and Fantasy to even a bit of Romance.

I have written among others, The Game of Gods, The Dungeon Alaria, The Nameless Chronicles, and several more series as well.

Evan Klein

I am fifty years old and wrote my first LITRPG novel during the pandemic. I had lots of extra time because I was not commuting nearly three hours a day. I am a high school administrator in a school in the Bronx. I was reading quite a bit of LitRPG before and during the pandemic - The Fayroll series in particular - so I guess the genre was in the back of my mind. By the time of LitCon my first series - Immersion Online - will be concluded. The final book is in edits right now as I write this bio. Anyway, writing has been therapeutic to me. I have a great deal of stress in my life and writing has been a great way for me to escape some of my troubles in life even if just a few hours each day. I am very close to retirement and plan to write full time as soon as I take that plunge. I am currently working on two new series. One has a female main character (which in the genre seems greatly underrepresented to me). I plan for this series to be quite long - maybe seven or eight books. However, the books will be on the shorter side - maybe around 80 k or so. The other series will be only two books; however, I expect both books to be well over 150 k words. I really enjoy LitRPG and the entire community involved with the genre. I have found the other writers in the genre very helpful and generous with their input.

Aleron Kong

Aleron Kong is an African-American physician turned WSJ Best Selling Author.  His comedic fantasy opera, The Land, has eight novels and a main character that is an everyday kind of guy.  The series has over 100,000 five-star reviews and has sold over 1,000,000 copies.  Chosen as Audible’s Customer Favorite of the Year, it has wide appeal whether you are reading or listening.  He has recently converted his novels into a webcomic.

The author is also extremely proud of his fandom, which has raised over $150,000 for various charities over the past few years.  Over 40 of his fans have also gotten tattoos of his artwork, and three babies have been named after his characters.  His fans are united by the words, “Through Service, Ascendance.  Through Dedication, Transcendence.”

Alex Kozlowski

Alex began writing in 2020, publishing the first book of Alpha Physics in late 2020 on Royal Road before moving it to Amazon in April 2021. Since then he has published a further six books and completed the Alpha Physics Series (6 books) and published the first novel in a new series in the same universe Broken Interface Kernal. His future plans include finish Broken Interface by mid 2023 and launching a new Sci-Fi Reborn Litrpg series with Aethon beginning in March 2023.

Alex first fell in love with both computer games and writing when he was on a scholarship completing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Physics. After graduating and getting a job, writing was put to the side while that pesky thing called life got in the way.

A career in banking delivering complicated quantitative banking applications resulted. Very stereotypical;

Boring job as a banker - tick,

Suburban home - tick

Three kids - tick

Two dogs - tick

You get the point.

A little thing called a global pandemic then came along and gave Alex a chance to return to his dream of becoming a writer. Having recently read a variety of LITRPG books it was a genre that Alex was excited to explore in order to create a world that readers could immerse themselves into. With the familiarity of the gaming world gained from playing WOW, Skyrim, Fallout amongst others there is simple joy in creating an imaginative magic filled world that is at everyone’s fingertips. In his writing, Alex aims to capture the feeling that he loves of being able to put yourself into a gaming world, develop your character and exploit the rules to the fullest.

Dakota Krout

Author of the best-selling Divine Dungeon, Completionist Chronicles, and Full Murderhobo series, Dakota Krout was chosen as Audible's top 5 fantasy pick of 2017, has been a top 5 bestseller on Amazon, and a top 6 bestseller on Audible.

He draws on his experience in the military to create vast terrains and intricate systems, and his history in programming and information technology helps him bring a logical aspect to both his writing and his company while giving him a unique perspective for future challenges.

Publishing my stories has been an incredible blessing thus far, and I hope to keep you entertained for years to come! -Dakota

Martin Lambert

My entire life, it seems like I've made shaky decisions and passed them off as working on my "About the Author" page. This is my big chance to prove I wasn't lying!

I grew up in rural Alabama. As a little kid, I cut grass for money, so my parents would take me to the used book store. When I was a little older, helping harvest hay on a farm or being the fry cook at a Mexican restaurant gave me the money for my literary addiction. In college, I wrote for campus newspapers and every creative writing course I could get, even though I majored in history. While I was in the army, I wrote stories influenced by the places I was deployed or stories about everyday things back home. There was a whole series of achingly terrible poems about Christmas with the family I penned in Bosnia for the holidays. Now I'm actually publishing all of these scribbles.

I've visited 48 countries, quite a few of them at taxpayer expense. I was stationed in Germany and traveled all through Europe. I'm a huge history nerd, so on weekends, I'd rent a car and find a castle or the site of some battle to explore. At home, my favorite place to visit as a boy was Horseshoe Bend National Military Park, where my Grandaddy and I would walk the battlements of a Redstick War Battlefield. There's so much cool stuff to learn, and I'm going to try to absorb it

Jeffrey “Falcon” Logue

Jeffrey "Falcon" Logue is a young author who dreams of owning a house with hidden passages. His first stories were those created at a young age with his legos, but it wasn't until college where he took part in his first Dungeon and Dragons game that he decided to write.

After finding the Royal Road Legends site, he began writing his stories for others to critique. His first success, The Slime Dungeon, came about from the NaNoWriMo challenge on the site, writing a 60,000 word book in a single month. Since then, he has written 13 full novels in 4 years and graduated college, with plans to write more novels and finish a video game based around his slime monsters. He is proud of his contribution to the dungeon corps genre and gamelit/litrpg genre.

TJ Lombardi

TJ Lombardi has served in the United States Air Force since 2007. As a young Airmen stationed in the nuclear missile fields of Montana, he protected the worlds most powerful weapon system. In 2009 a spark of creativity launched him into writing. Seven chapters into the story his military career began to develop, and those written chapters were forever lost. 13 years later a rekindled flame emerged, and TJ went full throttle into bringing the story back to life. The Dying Breed series once believed to be one massive book, has now developed into a projected 15 books. Book 1 in the series, “The Dying Breed: Hunters” is currently in the Beta Reading phase, Book 2’s development grew so much that it has now been split into two books, and is currently 80% completed. TJ foresees Book 3 to begin shortly thereafter. TJ is currently working with hopes to have Book 1 published by Christmas 2022, with Book 2 and 3 published in 2023.

Some of the many characters you’ll meet in The Dying Breed series.

Lars Machmüller

Lars Machmüller lives in Denmark with his wife and three kids. Family comes first, and as such, he spends a lot of time perfecting the art of packed lunches, cleaning food off the floor and delivering kids to and from school, kindergarten, playdates and whatnot.

Whenever somebody is not crawling on his shoulders, he dedicates every waking moment attempting to exorcize all those LitRPG plot bunnies that keep finding a place to live within his skull.

Whatever little time remains, he distributes evenly between his towering to-be-read pile, his trusty PC, and music.

J.R. Mathews

J.R. Mathews is the author of Jake's Magical Market and the Portal to Nova Roma series.

Kevin McLaughlin

Kevin McLaughlin is a multiple USA Today bestselling author of science fiction and fantasy novels, with over eighty books published. With a mix of indie and traditionally published books, Kevin has a foot in both author worlds. He has been a speaker at DragonCon, the Nebula Conference, 20Books, and other events around the world. He believes in giving back to the writing community, so that the chain of writers helping writers continues unbroken.

Selkie Myth

I was led into the dark world of webnovels by the wild success of Solo Leveling. Devouring everything I could, I eventually stumbled upon Royal Road, where I proceeded to read everything I could. Like many people, I always had the idea rattling around in my head of 'maybe one day I'll write my own book.'

Running out of books to read came at the same time I was laid off, and I figured if nothing else, I could write a better book that the machine-translated works. I sat down, and started writing the first story I've ever written: Beneath the Dragoneye Moons.

Now I’m here!

Troy Osgood

Born and raised in the granite state of New Hampshire, Troy, proud dad of two daughters, is a lifelong and avid reader of comic books and novels (mostly in the fantasy, sci-fi and adventure/thriller genres) and self-professed geek collecting action figures and building LEGO. He enjoys creating adventures that entertain and hopes to see his works appear in all forms of media. Don’t expect to bother him during football season, especially when the Patriots are playing.

He still lives in New Hampshire.

Sean Oswald

Sean was born on Krypton, Zenn-La, or Planet Vegeta, depending on which one of his kids is asking and what mood he is in. He served in the USMC straight out of high school before going on to obtain a highly useful degree in ancient languages.

Then, onto the mission field to work at an orphanage in India with his wife and 2.5 kids before returning to the US and surrendering to the dark side. Some say Sith, but his business card reads attorney.

Now he lives with his wife and nine (yes 9) children in central Illinois. Although to be fair, some of the kids are moved out and now he has version 2.0 called grandkids—which are even more

fun, despite still having a 4 year old of his own.

When he isn't serving justice, moving furniture for his wife, or playing with his kids, he is busy trying to force all the stories in his head onto a piece of paper.

Andrea Parsneau

Andrea Parsneau is an award-winning narrator focused on bringing a story to life via unique and identifiable character voices, emotionally genuine portrayals, and a unique theatrical flair. Her range of characters and hard-hitting emotional style have become nearly as well known as her dedication to making an audiobook as great as possible.

Cale Plamann

A lifelong fan of Fantasy and Science Fiction, I usually spent my nerdy energy creating overly elaborate homebrew RPG campaigns. As it became harder and harder to juggle schedules for a half dozen players, I eventually made the logical choice and just cut them out of the picture entirely.

Now I write novels. They whine a lot less about critical failures.
